DYNAMIC VISION SYSTEM
Opto+ allow different progressive zone settings for the same design

Dynamic Vision System.

Normally when we talk about customizing the lens for each customer. we consider his needs for use (extensive use outdoors, need for reading or use of smartphones. use for sports activities. driving. etc.) and the size and position of the frame on the customer’s face.

To optimize vision with respect to how the frame is wom. it is sufficient to transfer the information about the angle of wrap, the pentoscopic angle and the distance from the comeal apex to the lens manufacturer. The choice of design is more inherent in the habits of use of each individual person. but sometimes the chosen frame requires compromises on the best ophthalmic solution, in order not to disappoint the customer in his aesthetic choice (the frame with which he is most at ease). The designs of progressive lenses available on the market are indicated precisely for the needs of use mentioned shove; end each supplier tries to differentiate the solutions on the basis of more and more ways of using the lens, sometimes restricting the intended use of the lens. Consequently, offering limiting solutions.

Opto+ has developed a technology that provides for the application of mathematical algorithms that allow, in the same design, to change the width of the main areas of vision of the far and near. The calculation software makes the design map available before confirming its production, also managing to integrate the shape of the frame; therefore, allowing to understand which useful portion of the lens will be available and with what levels of astigmatism in the peripheral areas. This analysis, before confirming the production, allows to know in advance if the proposed solution is the optimal one for that person, and also allows to modify it to ensure that the chosen configuration meets the customer’s needs, despite any restrictions imposed by the frame.

Far Vision Need

For people who need to improve the distant area by optimizing the upper sphere of the lens

Near Vision Need

For people who need to improve the nearby area by optimizing the lower sphere of the lens

Large Frame

The near, intermediate and far values shift for optimal adaptation to the wide frame

Small Frame

The values of the near, far and intermediate move for the optimal adaptation to the narrow frame

Opto+ has developed a technology that provides for the application of mathematical algorithms that allow, in the same design, to change the width of the main areas of vision of the far and near.
This intrinsic flexibility of the design offers the laboratory the advantage of customizing the design even when defining the commercial offer, using the same design with differ ent width parameters for different purposes of using the lens

This intrinsic flexibility of the design offers the laboratory the advantage of customizing the design even when defining the commercial offer, using the same design with different width parameters for different purposes of using the lens. In this case, each laboratory can customize its offer based on the characteristics it wants to enhance of the lens: greater extent of the near, greater extent of the distant, greater softness of the design. Obviously, mathematics is not an opinion, and therefore any modification of the width of the areas affects astigmatism in peripheral vision, and in fact this will be another criterion to consider when choosing the amplitudes of the far and near areas as well as the length of the channel.

Opto+ has managed to put together a design with an excellent basic mathematics, to the flexibility of its structure, thus managing to adapt to the infinite real situations that are created by combining together a lens and a frame for each single person with specific needs. This is possible thanks to the Dynamic Vision System (DVS) technology that has been applied to the various design development methodologies: both those that use hyperbolas and those that use Spline tensors. In any case. DVS allows the flexibility of the design and therefore its adaptability even to extreme demands. With the end result that lens wearers adapt much faster.
Dynamic Vision System, for the moment, is available in the Ares series (Hard lenses designed for extensive use while driving) and Infinity (Soft lenses for the most varied use. based on the different possible configurations).
